Dr. Bernd Simon

Dr. Bernd Simon is a researcher at the Department of Information Systems and New Media of Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien. As a member of the consortia ProLearn and Elena he is leading cutting-edge research on e-learning and knowledge management solutions. As an active contributor to the EducaNext Portal he works at the frontier of IT-supported, academic knowledge exchange. Bernd has published various research papers and a book examining the dependencies between information technology and organizational change. His research on the effectiveness of educational information systems and system interoperability has been disseminated through top journals and conferences in the field. Bernd's more recent research activities are also devoted to IT-supported personnel development processes. Bernd has served or is currently serving as a reviewer of several leading academic journals and conferences, including ACM SAC, Educational Technology & Society, or the International Journal of Continuing Engineering Education and Lifelong Learning.
