Social events
In order to increase social contacts among the summer school
participants, the programme will include several social events.
Pre-school excursion
Whole day pre-summer school excursion will take place on Sunday, June 4th. The excursion will reveal to the participants Postojna Cave and Slovenian Coast.
We will depart from the hotel at 8:00. and first visit Piran
at the seaside. Piran is considered the most beautiful town on the
Slovenian coast. After a lunch in Strunjan, a nearby town, we will
proceed to Postojna to visit the famous Postojna cave. Early evening
we will return to Bled. The dinner will be served in the hotel.
Rafting and picnic
On Tuesday, June 6th in the afternoon you have a chance to
experience rafting on the Sava river. If you plan to
attend the rafting please bring your - swimming suit,
- T-shirt,
- towel and
- shoes that can get wet.
If you want to know in advance what to expect, take a look at
a short movie. After the end of the rafting, we will have a picnic close to Bled..
Banquet dinner at Bled castle
Banquet dinner will take place at the Bled Castle on Wednesday, June 7th.
Post-school excursion
Half-day excursion will take you to Ljubljana,
the capital city of Slovenia, on Saturday, June 10th. We will depart
from the hotel at 9:00. After arrival to Ljubljana a 90 min guided tour
will reveal to you the old town of Ljubljana. Departure from Ljubljana
is expected around 14:30. The participants who have to leave Slovenia in
the afternoon or in the evening will be taken to the Ljubljana airport on a way back to
Bled.
