Context and personalization in learning

Personalization allows users to get information adapted to their needs and interest or other personal characteristics. It is often closely connected to the use with personal devices. User models deliver the main parameters for selecting and adapting information presentation.Contextualization extends personalization so that also environmental states can be taken into account for more intelligent services. For contextualiza tion also a variety of displays and environmental sensors become impor tant for the user interaction, the interaction tracking, and interpretation of sensor data. The lecture will present and discuss some key issues in the combination of contextualized and personalized services for learning.
