First Latin American Conference on Learning Objects – LACLO 2006

October 23 - 27, Guayaquil-Ecuador

http://www.learningobjects2006.espol.edu.ec/

This is an invitation to researchers, faculty and educational managers to participate in the First Latin American Conference of Learning Objects. This conference is an opportunity for regional users, managers and researchers to share information, tools and experience in the development and use of learning object technologies.

A concrete result expected from the conference will be to reach an initial agreement to create a consortium to interconnect the diverse learning object collections in the region and create a federated network of Latin-American repositories.  The federation will increase the usefulness of this kind of repositories in our institutions.

Keynote: Wayne Hodgings, Strategic Futurist, Director of Worldwide Learning Strategies, Autodesk Inc. Chair IEEE Learning Technology Standards Committee (LTSC) Learning Object Metadata, Co-founder Learnativity Alliance.

At the conference website you can find information about the the organizational details:  program, online registration, accommodation, etc.  If you have any doubt about the conference, please, contact Xavier Ochoa (xavier@cti.espol.edu.ec) o call the phone: 593-4-2269773.
