The L3S Research Center, Hannover, Germany, invites applications for
one Ph.D. and one PostDoc research position
in the context of the PROLEARN Network of Excellence and the Integrated Project TENCompetence. Your research will focus on topics in the following areas
* Personalization and User Modeling
* Adaptive Hypermedia and Adaptive Web-Based Systems
* Semantic Web and Knowledge Sharing Technologies
in a challenging and unique research environment.
Related work at L3S is focussing on distributed information systems including advanced search and information retrieval as well as on innovative knowledge and learning technologies. For further information on projects and other background see http://www.l3s.de/
You should possess good knowledge in one or several areas relevant for the topics specified in this announcement, as well as an outstanding M.Sc. or Ph.D. in computer science. The salary amounts to German BAT IIa / BAT Ib which is roughly 40.000 to 48.000 Euro gross income per year depending on age and marital status. Good proficiency in English is expected. German language skills are useful, but not mandatory.
