Paper "Social Software for Professional Learning" will be presented at ICALT 2006
he paper "Social Software for Professional Learning: Examples and Research Issues" will be presented at the 6th IEEE International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies (ICALT 2006) July 5 - 7, 2006 Kerkrade, The Netherlands.
Our research exemplified in the paper "Social Software for Professional Learning: Examples and Research Issues" in close collaboration with EU projects like TenCompetence and ICamp will lead to new collaborative and adaptive learning platforms (CALP) as new kind of knowledge repositories which neatly integrate elements from social software use with the need for business oriented learning management systems for professional learning.
Basic mechanisms will be e.g. collaborative content creation, real-time collaboration, real world experiences, recommendation algorithms for joining communities and (semi)-automatic metadata alignments resp. crosswalks.
WP 15 "Social Software" leader Ralf Klamma will do a presentation at the 6th IEEE International Conference on Advanced Learning Technologies (ICALT 2006) July 5 - 7, 2006 Kerkrade, The Netherlands.
