Track "e-learning"

at the 9. International Conference Wirtschaftsinformatik 2009 from February 25 to February 27, 2009 in Vienna, Austria

A central concern of the German term “Wirtschaftsinformatik” focuses on the development of information systems designed for storing and representing knowledge relevant for enterprises together with the business processes requiring this information. This is not only a question of database and software design, but more and more a topic of knowledge management and transfer. The technology based knowledge transfer (e-learning) covers topics like knowledge requirements analysis, design of learning formats, content development of product, process, economic and market knowledge, methods of content provisioning, tutoring, measurement of knowledge transfer and evaluation. Therefore e-learning in the context of “Wirtschaftsinformatik” is not only about learning in the narrow sense, but as well about the processes related with knowledge construction, communication and evaluation. The following topics are covered by this track:

• Content development and learning formats: Rapid content authoring, simulations, standards, syndication, interoperability • Learning objects and meta data, open educational resources: adoption and impact in universities and industry • Innovative technology based learning formats: collaborative learning, peer learning and teaching, social software, Web-2.0, immersive Learning environments, support for better learning experiences • E-learning and performance: approaches for more profound competency, learning and knowledge management • Measuring learning success and competencies: e-testing, e-assessment, measuring and interpreting learning behavior, e-portfolios • Reference Models for electronic learning environments, case studies • New concepts for the rollout and teaching of ERP systems on universities • Educational and Competency Management: Models and solutions for controlling and quality assurance of knowledge transfer measures, accreditation • Process models and sustainability in the development and use of e-learning technologies, e-learning products and services
