Reporting to the CEO, the Director will lead a new science education program initiative that serves students and communities locally and throughout Northern Ontario. The Director will lead this major strategic goal through the development of new programs, delivery methods, resource acquisition, and liaising with external stakeholders in order to firmly establish Science Norths educational service to all Northern Ontario. The Director will also lead the growth of school programs and teacher in-service training at Science North and Dynamic Earth.

The successful candidate must be an outstanding communicator, with extensive knowledge relating to science education and curriculum, experience in successfully setting direction and leading major initiatives, in forging new alliances, and in managing staff to achieve results. Fluency in French would be a definite asset.
