Post-doctoral fellow with Professor Kathleen M. Carley at Carnegie Mellon University

Applications are invited for a post-doctoral fellow with Professor Kathleen M. Carley at Carnegie Mellon University.

This is a two year position to conduct research related to network dynamics at the organizational and community level.  Specific attention will be placed on 1) linking social/organizational networks to extra-network features such as location, expertise, resources, 2) extension and analysis of datasets particularly those in areas such as the Sudan focusing on change dynamics, and 3) statistical and/or simulation approaches to network dynamics, change detection and/or prediction.  Strong applicants will have significant experience in the network science area with a strong emphasis in graph theory, statistics, simulation, or visualization.  PhDs in  computer science, mathematical social science, information science or a related area are encouraged to apply.

 

The post-doctoral fellow will be a member of the CASOS center and take part in the CASOS summer institute and group projects.
