The PROLEARN Mediabase, within the framework of the PROLEARN project, assess cross-media digital discourses and archives in the field of professional learning. We are gathering the latest information in this field from different reputable sources by monitoring mailing lists, newsletters, websites, and RSS/atom feeds.
New e-learning mediabase and cross-media social network analysis software
PROLEARN is a 'Network of Excellence' financed by the IST (Information Society Technology) programme of the European commission dealing with technology enhanced professional learning. Our mission is to bring together the most important research groups in the area of professional learning and training, as well as other key organisations and industrial partners, thus bridging the currently existing gap between research and education at universities and similar organisations and training and continuous education that is provided for and within companies.
PROLEARN Mediabase, within the framework of the PROLEARN project, assesses cross-media digital discourses and archives in the field of professional learning. We are gathering the latest information in this field from different reputable sources by monitoring mailing lists, newsletters, websites, and RSS/atom feeds.
Mailing lists, newsletters, websites, RSS/atom feeds and blogs are the monitored items. For each of them, the following features are implemented:
- comparison statistics
- detailed information
- entries / screenshots
- search on various criteria
- adding / modifying / deleting projects (only for administrators)
New! Our Mediabase has been enriched with new features and implements a completely new user friendly interface:
- community based
- tagging system
- Firefox plug in with a user friendly interface
- view/modify Mediabase content "on-the-fly"
To gain the full access to Mediabase you will need a more recent version of the Firefox browser (v2.0+) with the MediaBase Commander plug-in which you can download and install from here or by clicking the logo.
Alternatively, you may use the Mediabase Commander within this site to browse the Mediabase. You should be a registered LAS user to be able to fully access it.
In the LAS registration form Summer School participants should choose "Summer School 2010" community otherwise choose Prolearn Academy community!
