On a roughly bi-weekly basis over flashmeeting a web based video conferencing service, we are discussing research work in the LOMI area. The basic intent is to facilitate exchange of opinions, ideas, plans and results on the overall theme of learning objects, metadata and interoperability. The intended audience includes PhD. students, their supervisors, researchers, etc. The sessions are quite flexible. A typical scenario would be a brief introductory presentation, to set the context, 30 minutes of focused discussion and 30 minutes of more general exchange of news.

ConceptBase
- ConceptBase is a multi-user deductive database system with an object-centered data model. Its ability to represent information at any abstraction level (data, class, meta class, meta meta class, etc.) makes it a powerful tool for meta modeling and engineering of customized modeling languages. The system is accompanied by a highly configurable graphical user interface that builds upon the logic-based features of the ConceptBase server.
